Tim Cottrell

is a graphic designer and artist living and working in Norwich, Norfolk. His prints and other work are shaped by his design training and love of typography - featuring plenty of letters, strong shapes, and bold colour. His minimalist approach is enriched by a keen and precise eye for detail. Working from digital type and illustrations, his use of hand-cut stencils and other techniques avoids the sterility and uniformity of a purely digital process; subtly including the human in an otherwise entirely technical process.

Having moved to Norwich to study at the Art School he has stayed in part because of the fascinating mixture of old and new buildings and in part because of the community he has found here. These, alongside nature, music, reading, and other hobbies, form the inspiration for most of his work.
